Lone Worker safety
A lone worker performing unsupervised activities, as a result of external factors (injuries, environmental factors, e.g. gases) or changes in health status, may lose consciousness, lose consciousness or be unable to change their position and find themselves in a life-threatening situation.
It is extremely important to quickly detect such an incident and refer help immediately.
Polish labor law requires the employer to periodically report a report by an employee performing tasks in the danger zone.
How to detect such cases, how to react? Let us assume that our employee equipped with PABLO agent slips down on his chair as a result of fainting and is unable to call for help.
After the defined time of radiotelephone inactivity (conversation, device movement) has elapsed, the radiotelephone signals the need to confirm the employee's awareness by pressing the indicated key (report). The radio signals the obligation to report with a beep signal. Pressing a defined report key interrupts the alarm and goes to the next cycle.
If the employee fails to do the report, it may mean incapacity or lack of awareness and therefore a crisis situation.
In such a situation, information about the occurrence of the THREAT, NOTIFICATION of the supervisory team, IDENTIFICATION of the person at risk and its LOCATION, SIGNALING of the danger is critical.
The PABLO system supervises the safety of an independent employee in an emergency.
1. Activating a loud ALARM on the radio.
2. Display of the employee's LOCATION and the incident alarm on the DISPATCH CONSOLE.
3. VOICE MESSAGES about the occurrence of a hazard in the incident zone by the intercom system.
4. Sending emergency SMS messages to the EMERGENCY HQ.
The system ALARMS about the occurrence of a threat, presents the current location of the PABLO Agent on the site map in the PABLO Console installed at the dispatcher station and / or other positions of supervisory teams. GPS LOCATION as well as in signal suppressing rooms, underground, concrete or disturbed.
A dispatcher or persons dedicated to supervising employees who perform tasks alone, performs a procedure prepared in the event of a specific incident, activates rescue teams and coordinates the entire action. After the crisis is over, it describes the course of events, leaving a permanent trace and time information about the incident that occurred.
The PABLO system enables integration with Zenitel intercom systems, as a result of which the process of sending voice or sound warnings in the zone in which the hazard occurred was automated.
Apart from signaling, the Hytera and Zenitel systems provide wide functionality for critical communication, group communication and dedicated communication between fixed devices intercom and portable radiotelephones.
The PABLO system provides information not only about the location of the injured employee, but also the current location of other PABLO Agents.
Thanks to this information, the plant dispatcher can actively support the crisis team with the necessary information.
The most important advantage, however, is CRITICAL COMMUNICATION, which is a combination of all the advantages of the mobile, independent of the operator's infrastructure and power supply of the PABLO System.
The level of security is significantly increased by a well thought out communication strategy between DMR radio systems and the fixed intercom infrastructure.
Coordination of the action carried out by the dispatcher leaves the necessary information in the PABLO System, i.e. the time trace and location of the incident as well as the necessary description of the course of the event. These are elements used in post-accident documentation or to keep health and safety statistics.
